Today, October 14th, Oriental Land Co. officially announced the name of Japan’s very first Disney cruise ship: "Disney Imagination"! 🚢💖

The name embodies the hope for guests of all generations to enjoy a magical voyage while immersing themselves in the boundless power of Disney’s “imagination” — the heart of all Disney storytelling! 💫

💡 1. The Stern Character is Ariel! 🧜‍♀️🐚✨

Did you know that every Disney Cruise Line (DCL) ship features a special character sculpture on its stern (the back of the ship)? 🚢🎨

In the official artwork, the character adorning the stern of "Disney Imagination" is none other than Ariel and Flounderfrom The Little Mermaid! 🧜‍♀️🐠 Seeing Ariel — who always dreamed and imagined a world beyond her own — on this ship is just SO fitting and poetic! 🥹💖

💡 2. The Homeport Says "TOKYO"! 🗼⚓️✨

If you look closely right below Ariel on the stern... you’ll see the word "TOKYO" proudly engraved in gold! 🪙✨

While traditional DCL ships are usually homeported in places like Nassau (Bahamas), this ship will carry the name of TOKYO as it sails across the seas! 🌊🇯🇵 As someone who loves Tokyo Disney Resort so much, seeing "TOKYO" on the bow & stern literally gave me chills! 😭💙

💡 3. Year-Round Homeporting Near Tokyo! 🌸⛴️✨

In the past, international fans (and locals in Japan!) had to fly all the way to Florida, California, or Europe to board a Disney Cruise ship. ✈️🇺🇸🇪🇺

 "I couldn't get a park ticket," "It's my last day and I just want to shop before heading to the airport," or "I want to make the most of my arrival day!" — If this sounds like you, I have the perfect spot! 🐭🏰 Located right in front of the JR Maihama Station gates, this is one of the largest Disney Stores in Japan!  ✨ 📍 Basic Info & Access It's located at the "Entry Plaza" on the 2nd floor of Ikspiari. A prime location just a 1-minute walk from the station! 🏃‍♂️💨 Hours : 10:00 AM - 9:00 PM 🕙 Location : Ikspiari 2F (Right by the entrance near Maihama Station) Payments : Credit cards, IC cards (Suica/PASMO), and major QR payments are accepted. 💳📱 🌟 What Makes This Store Amazing?
