• 🏃‍♂️ Reason ①: May is the Season for School "Sports Days" and Substitute Holidays!

  • In the old days, schools in Japan traditionally held their big "Sports Days" (Undokai / 運動会) in the autumn (September or October). However, autumn in Japan has become fiercely hot lately. To prevent heatstroke, more and more schools and kindergartens are moving this event to May, when the weather is absolutely beautiful and comfortable! (By the way, my kids' school still hosts theirs in the autumn! 🍁😂)

  • When these Sports Days happen on a Saturday or Sunday, the following Monday becomes an official school holiday (振替休日). Because of this, a massive wave of local Japanese families floods the parks on Mondays!

• 🎟️ Reason ②: The Limited-Time "Shutoken Weekday Passport" (首都圏ウィークデーパスポート)!

  • Right now, Tokyo Disney Resort is selling a special discounted ticket called the "Shutoken Weekday Passport." This offer is exclusively for residents living in the Greater Tokyo Area (Tokyo, Kanagawa, Chiba, Saitama, etc.) to enjoy the parks on weekdays. Make sure to check the official merchandise release schedule beforehand! 🗓️🛍️

👑 3. Fun Fact: There are NO Annual Passes at Tokyo Disney?!
