Tokyo Disneyland with Babies: Best Rides with NO Height Limits (A Local Mom’s Guide)

Tokyo Disneyland with Babies: Best Rides with NO Height Limits (A Local Mom’s Guide)

Hi everyone! I’m a local mom of two (9 and 5 years old) living in Japan. 🏰

Bringing a baby to Tokyo Disneyland?👶 You might be wondering, "Are there any rides we can enjoy together?" The answer is YES!

Many attractions have no height requirements!!😊

Today, I’ll share my "Mom-tested" guide to the best baby-friendly rides!

👶 Category A: Baby Carrier / On Your Lap OK

Tokyo Disneyland with Babies: Best Rides with NO Height Limits (A Local Mom’s Guide)

These are the easiest rides for families with infants. You can enjoy them while holding your baby or using a baby carrier.

  • it's a small world 🌈: The perfect first ride! Gentle music and colorful dolls.

  • Jungle Cruise: Wildlife Expeditions 🐘: Fun for the whole family as you explore the river.

  • Western River Railroad 🚂: A relaxing train ride.
  • The Enchanted Tiki Room: Stitch Presents "Aloha E Komo Mai!" 🌺: An indoor theater show where you can sit and rest.
  • Mickey’s PhilharMagic 🎺 (Dark) :  A 3D concert filled with famous Disney songs. The sights, sounds, and even smells are amazing! 🎶🍰
  • Country Bear Theater 🐻 :  Watch a funny and charming musical show by a group of talented bears. It’s a great place to relax and enjoy the music. 🎸🍎

🧒 Category B: Must Sit Independently

For these rides, there is no height limit, but your child must be able to sit upright on their own.

  • Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast 🌹:Dance along in a magical cup. Note: The ride can be a bit shaky and has dark scenes.

  • Pooh’s Hunny Hunt 🍯:Bounce with Pooh! Note: Includes spinning and unpredictable movements.

  • Pirates of the Caribbean🏴‍☠️(Dark)A boat adventure for brave babies. Note: Very dark with one small, sudden drop.

  • Monsters, Inc. Ride & Go Seek! 🔦(Dark)

  • :A fun game of hide-and-seek. Note: Mostly dark with flashlight play.

  • The Happy Ride with Baymax 🤍:Exciting music and swinging! Note: Features fast centrifugal force.

  • Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin 🚗(Dark)

  • :A wacky, spinning taxi ride. Note: Can be loud and very dizzying.

  • Castle Carrousel (Horse) 🎠:Choose your favorite horse! Note: An adult must stand next to the horse to support the child.

  • Dumbo the Flying Elephant 🐘Fly high in the sky with Dumbo! You can control the height yourself, making it a thrilling yet gentle experience for babies.
  • Peter Pan’s Flight ⛵ (Dark)Board a pirate ship and fly over London to Neverland. It’s a magical journey through the stars!

  • Pinocchio’s Daring Journey 🤥 (Dark) : Follow Pinocchio’s adventures in a classic trolley. A great way to enjoy the story of the wooden puppet who wanted to be a real boy.

🍼 Special Tip: Baby Centers

Don't worry about diaper changes or nursing! They provide hot water for formula, nursing rooms, and diaper changing tables.

Tokyo Disneyland has two amazing Baby Centers:

Locations:

  1. World Bazaar💫: (Near the entrance – Large and well-equipped)

  2. Toontown☺ (Great for toddlers!) They provide hot water for formula, nursing rooms, and diaper changing tables.

Available Facilities:

  • Nursing Rooms: Private and quiet spaces for breastfeeding.

  • Diaper Changing Tables: Plenty of space for quick changes.

  • Feeding Support: Hot water for formula and microwaves for baby food.

  • Shopping: You can purchase baby food, snacks, diapers, and formula here!

The Baby Center provides everything you need for your little ones.👶

Important Note🚨: While there are two Baby Centers in Tokyo Disneyland, the one in World Bazaar (near the entrance) is the only place that sells baby food, formula, and diapers. The Baby Center in Toontown provides nursing rooms and changing tables but does not sell these items. Please make sure to stock up at the World Bazaar if needed!

✨ Special Tip for Families with Older Siblings: "Rider Switch"

Do you have an older child who wants to ride a "big kid" attraction, but you have a baby too? Use the "Rider Switch" (Koutai-Riyou) system! 🔄

One parent can wait with the baby while the other parent and the older child ride first. Then, you can switch without waiting in line again! Just ask a Cast Member at the entrance of the attraction. I will explain more details in my next post!
