How to Use "Rider Switch" at Tokyo Disney Resort: A Complete Guide for Parents with Babies
The Thrill Doesn't Have to End! 🎢
Before I had my baby, Disney dates with my husband were all about thrill rides!
We used to spend our day hopping from one roller coaster to another, loving every scream and splash.
But once we started visiting with our little one, I thought, "Maybe we have to give up on those big rides for a while..." 👶
If you feel the same way, I have great news for you! You can still enjoy the thrills while keeping your baby happy. It’s all thanks to a magic system called "Rider Switch."
Today, I’ll show you exactly how it works so you can bring back those dating-day thrills to your family trip! ✨
What is "Rider Switch"?
The "Rider Switch" (Alternate Riding) system allows one parent to wait with the child while the other enjoys the ride, and then they can swap places without waiting in line again!
How to Use Rider Switch: 3 Easy Steps 📝
Talk to a Cast Member at the Entrance :Before entering the queue, go to the attraction entrance with your entire group. Tell the Cast Member, "Rider Switch, please."
Scan Your Tickets :The Cast Member will scan the Park tickets of the person waiting (the second rider). You will then be given a digital voucher on your app.
Enjoy the Ride and Switch!
1st Group: Goes through the regular line or Premier Access lane.
2nd Group: Waits comfortably with the baby outside. Once the first group returns, the second group can enter through the Express/Priority lane for a much shorter wait!
Important Tips for Parents 💡
You must be with your child: You cannot request a Rider Switch if the child is not present at the entrance.
Up to 2 people: Generally, the second group can include up to two people who can ride together.
Use the Baby Center: While waiting, you can visit the nearby Baby Center for diaper changes or feeding!
Attractions for Babies Who Can Sit Up Independently 👶
Once your little one can sit up on their own, the magic expands! Here are some great choices where you can ride together:
🐘 Dumbo the Flying Elephant
Fly high in the sky with Dumbo! You can control the height yourself.

🚌 How to get from the Airport to the Park?
👉Traveling with a baby and luggage can be tough. I highly recommend taking the "Airport Limousine Bus" from both Narita and Haneda airports. It drops you off right at the Tokyo Disney Resort area or your hotel—no need to worry about navigating busy train stations with a stroller!
