Can you believe it?! The release date for the newest installment of everyone's favorite, beloved series—"Toy Story 5" (working title)—has officially been announced for Japan!!! 🎉 (cue massive applause! 👏👏👏)

It's been a long wait since "Toy Story 4" came out in 2019... a whole 7 years! 🤯 Just thinking about it gets me emotional... 🥺

Whether you're a fan from overseas or right here in Japan, I've summarized the hottest, must-know points for you! Hot off the press! 🔥

Let's look at the most exciting part first: the schedule! 📅

  • US Release Date: June 19, 2026 (Friday) 🇺🇸

  • Japan Release Date: July 3, 2026 (Friday) 🇯🇵

That's right! The Japanese release is only two short weeks after the US! 😭✨ I'm so happy we get to see it in near real-time. For those of you who will be in the US, I know it will have already been released, so some of you might already know the story! You're so lucky! 🍀 But here in Japan, Disney and Toy Story fans are eagerly counting down the seconds to July 3! ⏳

And there's more! For Japan, it was announced that the movie won't just be a standard 2D release... it will be available in a total of 11 different screening versions, including IMAX and more! 🎥💥 Experiencing Woody and the gang's adventure on such a massive screen... I'm already so excited I can't decide where to watch it!

AND! Even better! In a special event screening, 8 theaters across Japan will transform their auditoriums into the "Toy Story" universe for a limited-time "Toy Story Theater"! 🏨🛋️ They will also have exclusive guest presents, so if you're a fan, you absolutely cannot miss this! 🎁

AND! Even better! In a special event screening, 8 theaters across Japan will transform their auditoriums into the "Toy Story" universe for a limited-time "Toy Story Theater" from July 3rd (Friday) to July 20th (Monday)! 🏨🛋️
