【Maihama】Shopping Magic Without a Park Ticket! Vol.3 : The Dream Continues Beyond the Gates: Tokyo Disneyland Hotel 🏰✨
Hi everyone, I’m Ayumi! 👋 Welcome back to my series on enjoying the Disney magic without a park ticket! 🎟️❌
For Vol.3, we’re focusing on the majestic, castle-like Tokyo Disneyland Hotel, located right in front of the park gates. 🏰 Did you know this is a "hidden gem" for shopping and breathtaking views, even if you aren't staying the night? Let’s dive in! 🌟
🏰 What is Tokyo Disneyland Hotel?
First, a quick look at why this hotel is so special:
Opened: July 8, 2008 (Born during the TDR 25th Anniversary!) 🎂
Rank: The highest "Deluxe Type" among Disney Hotels. 💎
Perks: Guests staying here get "Happy Entry," allowing them into the park 15 minutes early! 🏃💨
💡 Fun Fact! Ever wonder about its gorgeous Victorian architecture? It incorporates elements from Disney hotels in Florida and Paris, modeled after the elegant "Grand Age" of the early 20th century. It’s a masterpiece! 🎨✨
🛍️ Shopping Spots (No Stay Required!)
Forgot a souvenir? 😱 Is "Bon Voyage" too crowded? 😵 Don’t worry! The hotel shops are here to save the day.
1. Disney Mercantile 🧸
This is the largest Disney shop within any Tokyo Disney Resort hotel! You can even enter directly from the garden in front of the Tokyo Disneyland Station. 🚉
Hours: 8:00 AM – 10:00 PM (Subject to change) ⏰
Why I love it: They have everything from headbands (ears!) and tableware to stationery, T-shirts, and Tomica/Plarail toys! 🎀👕🚗 It’s usually much quieter than the park shops, making it perfect for families with strollers to shop at a relaxed pace. 🛒👶
✨ For Little Princesses! Nearby, you’ll find the shop for "Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique." They sell stunning princess dresses! 👗👑 You can buy a dress here the night before and surprise your daughter so she can transform into a princess for her park day! ✨
2. Looking Glass Gifts 🍬
Located on the 1st floor, this is the hotel’s convenience store.
Hidden Gems: Beyond drinks and snacks, they carry Disney-designed sweets, stationery, and toys! 🍭📒 While these aren't "official park merchandise," you’ll find unique items with adorable packaging you won't see anywhere else. Open 24 hours (usually)! 🌙✨
✨ Extra Magic for Visitors
The Grand Lobby 🏛️
The 3-story atrium lobby is breathtaking! Look for the Alice in Wonderland fountain and try to spot the "Hidden Mickeys." 🐭🔍 If you’re lucky, you might catch a Cast Member playing a Hand-cranked Organ! 🎹🎶 Hearing Disney classics in that space is truly magical. 🌈
Dining Options 🍽️
You can dine here even if you aren't staying! (Reservations via the official app/site are required 📲)
Sherwood Garden Restaurant (1F): A beautiful buffet with Japanese, Western, and Chinese dishes overlooking a Victorian garden. 🥗🥘
Dreamers Lounge (3F): A dreamy, open lounge famous for Afternoon Tea. ☕🍰 You can feel the park's energy through the giant windows!
Breathe in the Magic: A Palace Just Steps Away 🪄🏰
Just a short walk from Maihama Station, this hotel is a "Palace of Magic." 🏰✨
Even without a ticket, you can fully breathe in the Disney atmosphere here. Be sure to stop by on your next stroll around Maihama! 🚶♀️💖
